Target Information
Transforming growth factor β-1 (TGFβ-1) is a secreted protein belonging to the TGF-β family. It is highly expressed in bone, articular cartilage, and chondrocytes and is increased in osteoarthritis. TGFβ-1 regulates cell growth, proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. The TGFB1 gene encodes for TGFβ-1 in goats. In a transgenic goat model, overexpression of TGF-β1 in the heart resulted in increased fibrosis and myocyte size in the atria, as well as progressive P-wave prolongation.
Shipping and Storage
This product is shipped with dry ice. It is recommended to aliquote as needed and store at -20°C upon receipt. Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 4°C for 1 week, at < -20°C for 3 months.
Documents
The product is for research use only.

User Note
- Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water. Avoid mixing by vortexing or pipetting. It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration < 100 μg/mL. Aliquote the reconstituted solution to minimise freeze-thaw cycles.
