Target Information

Salmonella paratyphi A Flagellin (fliC) itself does not have the ability to infect, but as part of the bacterium, Salmonella Paratyphi A can infect humans and certain animals. In the veterinary field, fliC protein is a key factor in bacterial motility and host cell adhesion. It activates immune responses by binding to host Toll-like receptor 5. Additionally, fliC protein plays an important role in vaccine development, inducing host immune responses to help prevent infections caused by Salmonella.
