Target Information

Sarafloxacin is a quinolone antibiotic with broad-spectrum antimicrobial properties. It is primarily utilized for treating infections caused by susceptible bacteria, including chicken dysentery, chicken colibacillosis, avian cholera, chicken infectious rhinitis, and swine streptococcal disease. Sarafloxacin is twice as effective against gram-positive bacteria and four times more potent against gram-negative microorganisms than norfloxacin, and it displays activity against anaerobes similar to ciprofloxacin.
