Target Information

Fumonisin is a type of mycotoxin generated by the fungus Fusarium verticillioides, which frequently contaminates corn and corn-based products. These toxins pose a threat to both humans and animals, with a particularly significant impact on animals. In veterinary medicine, fumonisins are notably important as they can induce porcine pulmonary edema and equine leukoencephalomalacia.
