Target Information

Infectious canine hepatitis (ICH) is a viral disease caused by an adenovirus from the adenovirus family. The virus is spread directly between dogs through infected respiratory secretions or contact with contaminated feces or urine. There are two types of canine adenoviruses: type 1 (CAV-1) and type 2 (CAV-2). Canine adenovirus type 1 (CAdV-1) is the causative agent of a systemic and potentially fatal viral disease of domestic and wild canids.
