Target Information

Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis is a Gram-positive bacterium that primarily infects ruminants and horses, and on rare occasions, humans. This facultative anaerobic organism is catalase-positive and capable of beta-hemolysis. In small ruminants, it leads to caseous lymphadenitis, a disease marked by the formation of pyogranulomatous abscesses.
