Target Information

Bovine CD28 is a 44 kDa homodimeric T cell-specific surface glycoprotein belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is a crucial co-stimulatory molecule that enhances T cell activation by interacting with its ligands, CD80 (B7-1) and CD86 (B7-2), on antigen-presenting cells. This interaction provides a second signal necessary for full T cell activation, promoting proliferation, cytokine production, and survival.
