Target Information
Canine lysosomal associated membrane protein 2 (LAMP-2) is a crucial protein involved in lysosomal function and autophagy. It plays a significant role in chaperone-mediated autophagy (CMA), where it facilitates the selective import and degradation of cytosolic proteins into the lysosome through the recognition of specific targeting motifs. LAMP-2 is also implicated in the presentation of cytoplasmic antigens by major histocompatibility complex class II and in the regulation of T-cell responses.
