Target Information

Porcine IgG1 is a major immunoglobulin subclass in pigs, playing a crucial role in the adaptive immune response. It is produced as part of the secondary immune response to antigens and constitutes a significant portion of total serum immunoglobulins. IgG1 is involved in various immune functions, including neutralization of pathogens, opsonization for phagocytosis, and activation of the complement system. The Fc portion of IgG1 can bind to Fcγ receptors on immune cells such as macrophages and neutrophils, facilitating the clearance of pathogens. Additionally, IgG1 is essential for passive immunization, providing long-term protection against infections.
