Target Information
Porcine T-complex protein 1 subunit delta (pCCT4), also known as CCT7 or chaperonin containing TCP1, subunit 7, is a constituent of the CCT (chaperonin containing TCP1) complex, which is essential for protein folding and assembly in the cytosol of cells in pigs. pCCT4 plays a crucial role in the CCT complex, which assists in the proper folding of newly synthesized polypeptides and the refolding of misfolded proteins. The CCT complex, also known as the TriC complex in some species, is a highly conserved chaperonin that functions as a barrel-shaped hetero-oligomeric complex, composed of multiple subunits, including pCCT4.
