Bacteroides asaccharolyticus, also known as Porphyromonas levii, is a Gram-negative, anaerobic bacterium belonging to the genus Porphyromonas. It has been isolated from the rumen of bovines and from osteomyelitis lesions in small animals and horses. Additionally, Bacteroides levii is associated with bovine mastitis.
