Canine macrophage derived chemokine (MDC), also known as CCL22, is a chemokine that plays a significant role in the immune response, particularly in the recruitment of immune cells to sites of inflammation. In dogs, MDC has been implicated in the immunopathogenesis of atopic dermatitis (AD), where its expression is upregulated in lesional skin compared to non-lesional skin.
