Chicken IgG (H+L) refers to the immunoglobulin G found in chickens, which is similar to its mammalian counterpart but with distinct structural and functional characteristics. Chicken IgG is a tetramer consisting of two heavy chains and two light chains, similar in structure to human IgG. However, it is important to note that chickens primarily produce IgY, not IgG, as their predominant immunoglobulin. IgY is functionally analogous to human IgG and is found in high concentrations in egg yolk and serum, making it a valuable source for the production of antibodies.
