Target Information
Porcine C-X-C Motif Chemokine 10 (CXCL10), also known as Interferon Gamma-Inducible Protein 10 (IP-10), is a chemokine involved in immune responses. It is secreted by various immune cells in response to interferon gamma (IFN-γ) and acts as a chemoattractant for monocytes, T-cells, and natural killer (NK) cells. CXCL10 binds to the CXCR3 receptor, facilitating immune cell migration and activation. In pigs, CXCL10 expression is elevated during infections such as African swine fever (ASF) and porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRS).
