Target Information
Porcine factor related apoptosis ligand (also known as TNF-related apoptosis-inducing ligand, TRAIL) is a member of the TNF superfamily. It is a type II membrane protein that can induce apoptosis in various cell types, including tumor cells, while having minimal effects on normal cells. TRAIL plays a crucial role in the immune system by promoting the elimination of infected or transformed cells. It binds to its receptors, DR4 and DR5, to initiate the apoptotic signaling pathway.
