Target Information
Porcine intercellular adhesion molecule 1 (ICAM-1) is a transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily, widely expressed on the surface of various cells, including leukocytes and endothelial cells. ICAM-1 plays a crucial role in mediating cell-cell interactions, particularly in immune responses and inflammation. It is involved in leukocyte adhesion and migration to sites of inflammation, facilitating the immune response by binding to integrins such as lymphocyte function-associated antigen-1 (LFA-1) and Mac-1.
