Target Information

Porcine STAT3 is a key regulatory protein involved in the transmission of signals from the cell surface to the nucleus. It is encoded by the STAT3 gene and shares high homology with its human and murine counterparts, with 93% and 90% sequence identity, respectively. This protein is responsive to various stimuli, including growth factors and cytokines, which trigger its phosphorylation and activation. Once activated, porcine STAT3 translocates to the nucleus, where it modulates the transcription of target genes involved in cell cycle progression, apoptosis, and immune function .
