Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus Type 2 (RHDV2) is an extremely contagious and deadly virus that exclusively infects lagomorphs, such as rabbits and hares. Unlike other variants of rabbit hemorrhagic disease viruses, RHDV2 impacts both domestic and wild rabbit populations. Often, the only indications of this disease are sudden death and blood-stained noses, resulting from internal hemorrhaging.
