Target Information
Bovine fetuin-B is a glycoprotein predominantly produced and secreted by the liver. It is known to induce insulin resistance in cultured hepatocytes and myotubes, and its plasma levels are elevated in individuals with increased liver fat content. Fetuin-B is also implicated in the modulation of glucose effectiveness, although the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. This protein serves as an important biomarker for various diseases and is involved in immune response regulation, antioxidant activity, and bone metabolism
