Target Information
The HSPA1A gene in cattle encodes Heat shock protein family A (Hsp70) member 1A, which has been associated with carcass traits. This protein is a part of the molecular chaperone family and plays a crucial role in numerous cellular functions. These include safeguarding the proteome from stress, facilitating the folding and movement of newly created polypeptides, initiating the breakdown of misfolded proteins, and facilitating the creation and breakup of protein complexes.
