Target Information
Bovine thioredoxin 2, Mitochondrial is a crucial antioxidant protein located in the mitochondria of cattle cells. It plays a significant role in maintaining cellular redox balance by scavenging reactive oxygen species (ROS) and regulating oxidative stress. Thioredoxin 2 helps protect cells from oxidative damage, which is particularly important in high-energy-demand tissues such as muscle and fat. Additionally, it is involved in regulating apoptosis and cellular signaling pathways, thereby contributing to overall metabolic health in cattle.
