Target Information

Retinoic acid, commonly referred to as vitamin A acid, is a derivative of vitamin A1 (all-trans-retinol) that is essential for embryonic development, male fertility, bone growth regulation, and immune function. The primary form of retinoic acid is all-trans-retinoic acid, while minor isomers such as 13-cis- and 9-cis-retinoic acid are present in smaller quantities.
