Trichophyton verrucosum, often referred to as the cattle ringworm fungus, is a dermatophyte primarily responsible for fungal skin disease in cattle. It also frequently causes ringworm in donkeys, dogs, goats, sheep, and horses. This infection holds economic significance as it can deteriorate the quality of milk, meat, and leather from cattle.
