Target Information

Alternaria is a genus of fungi within the Deuteromycetes class. Species of Alternaria are cosmopolitan and characterized by their dark melanin pigmentation. They infect numerous plant species, leading to significant agricultural spoilage of various crops. In addition to their impact on plants, Alternaria spp. are known to infect animals. They have been described as entomopathogenic fungi and can also infect warm-blooded animals, including humans.
