Target Information

Avian pox, caused by viruses of the genus Avipoxvirus within the Poxviridae family, is known for causing pox lesions as a symptom. This virus can greatly impair breathing, eating, and drinking in affected birds. The characteristic lesions usually appear on non-feathered areas of the body, particularly the face and legs, manifesting as proliferative and necrotizing dermatitis.
