Target Information
Campylobacter is a helical-shaped, non-spore-forming, Gram-negative bacterium that is microaerophilic and nonfermenting, equipped with a single flagellum at one or both poles for movement. Campylobacter jejuni, a pathogenic species, is frequently found in animal feces. The subspecies C. jejuni jejuni is linked to intestinal diseases in companion animals and is known to cause diarrhea in dogs and cats.
