Yersinia pseudotuberculosis is a Gram-negative bacterium responsible for causing Far East scarlet-like fever in humans. Infections usually occur zoonotically, primarily through contaminated food. This bacterium is found globally in various animals, such as rodents, birds (including turkeys, ducks, geese, pigeons, and canaries), rabbits, deer, and livestock.
