Swine coronaviruses are key pathogens affecting the enteric and respiratory systems in pigs. Identified in 2017, swine enteric alphacoronavirus (SeACoV), also referred to as swine acute diarrhea syndrome coronavirus (SADS-CoV) or porcine enteric alphacoronavirus (PEAV), represents the fifth porcine coronavirus discovered in piglets suffering from diarrhea.
