Target Information

Leptospirosis is a bacterial disease that affects humans and animals. It is caused by bacteria of the genus Leptospira. Leptospira are members of the Leptospiraceae family. They have a gram-negative- like cell envelope consisting of a cytoplasmic and outer membrane. The bacteria that cause leptospirosis are spread through the urine of infected animals.
