Cronobacter spp. are frequently found on vegetables, meat, fermented bread, dairy and in baby food. They are opportunistic pathogens. Salmonella is a genus of rod-shaped, gram-negative bacteria belonging to the Enterobacteriaceae family. Staphylococcus aureus is known to cause various livestock diseases commonly found in pigs, cows, and poultry, including mastitis, joint infections, and skin infections.
