Target Information

Candida auris is a type of yeast-forming fungus. It is an emerging fungal pathogen with several worrisome characteristics and is among the few Candida species that cause candidiasis in humans. Although infections in dogs are rare, there is evidence that they can contract C. auris, albeit temporarily.
