Target Information

Simplexvirus bovinealpha2, also known as Bovine alphaherpesvirus 2 (BoHV-2), is a member of the Herpesviridae family. BoHV-2 is capable of causing two distinct and well-defined conditions: a generalized benign skin infection resembling lumpy skin disease (LSD), known as Pseudo-Lumpy Skin Disease (PSLD), and a localized ulcerative condition called Bovine Herpetic Mammillitis (BHM).
