Target Information

Cytauxzoon felis is a protozoan transmitted to domestic cats through tick bites, with bobcats serving as its natural reservoir host. Previously healthy cats may experience a sudden onset of severe illness. The clinical progression is often rapid, with symptoms such as lethargy and loss of appetite appearing within 5 to 20 days following a tick bite.
