Bacillus cereus is a Gram-positive, rod-shaped bacterium typically present in soil, food, and marine sponges. Depending on the strain, it can be either aerobic or facultatively anaerobic. This bacterium is pathogenic to a variety of aquatic animal species. Cronobacter spp. are frequently found on vegetables, meat, fermented bread, dairy and in baby food. They are opportunistic pathogens. Staphylococcus aureus, a Gram-positive, spherical bacterium and member of the Bacillota, is typically part of the body's microbiota, often located in the upper respiratory tract and on the skin. It is known to cause various livestock diseases commonly found in pigs, cows, and poultry, including mastitis, joint infections, and skin infections.
