Epizootic lymphangitis is a chronic granulomatous disease affecting the skin, lymph vessels, and lymph nodes in the limbs and neck of equids, caused by the dimorphic fungus Histoplasma capsulatum var. farciminosum. This organism is closely related to the one responsible for histoplasmosis.
