Infectious canine hepatitis (ICH) is a viral illness caused by an adenovirus from the adenovirus family. This virus transmits directly between dogs via infected respiratory secretions or through contact with contaminated feces or urine. Canine adenovirus type 2 is closely related to canine adenovirus type 1 and is utilized in vaccines to safeguard against canine infectious hepatitis.
