Target Information

Aviadenoviruses represent a group of adenoviruses that mainly impact bird species such as chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, and pheasants, and are comprised of 15 distinct species. The pathogenic effects of FAdVs differ based on the strain or serotype, as well as the age, lineage, and immune status of the birds. FAdV-11 has been successfully isolated and characterized from chickens suffering from Inclusion Body Hepatitis (IBH).
