Malacoplasma iowae Probe-based qPCR Kit

Mycoplasma iowae is an avian mycoplasma with distinct characteristics compared to other avian mycoplasmas, including resistance to bile salts, an affinity for the gastrointestinal tract, and relative resistance to many antimicrobials. In turkeys, Mycoplasma iowae infection results in late embryo mortality and decreased hatchability. It is transmitted through eggs in turkeys, and horizontal transmission with gradual spread within a flock can also occur.
