Target Information

Feline calicivirus (FCV), belonging to the Caliciviridae family, is responsible for causing illness in cats. It is one of the primary viral agents leading to respiratory infections in felines, alongside Felid alphaherpesvirus 1. As an RNA virus, FCV exhibits significant genetic flexibility, allowing it to adapt to environmental changes. Infected cats may experience symptoms that manifest suddenly, persist over time, or may not show any clinical signs at all.
