Target Information

Fasciola gigantica, a parasitic flatworm belonging to the class Trematoda, is responsible for causing tropical fascioliasis. It is considered one of the most significant platyhelminth infections affecting ruminants in Asia and Africa. Together with F. hepatica, F. gigantica is a causative agent of fascioliasis in both ruminants and humans on a global scale.
