Target Information

Duck plague, also known as duck viral enteritis (DEV), is a globally recognized disease affecting ducks, geese, and swans. It is caused by Anatid alphaherpesvirus 1 (AnHV-1), a member of the Herpesviridae family. DEV can lead to acute illness and high mortality in affected flocks. The virus is considered pantropic, meaning it can replicate and disseminate across various organs within the host.
