Target Information

Mycoplasma mobile is a species of parasitic bacteria, that leads to necrosisa in freshwater fishes. It is part of the Mollicutes class, which consists of bacteria with reduced genome sizes that can be parasitic or commensal. Mycoplasma mobile exhibits strong gliding motility and attaches to the gill surface, where it then colonizes.
