Target Information
Campylobacter is a genus of curved rod-shaped, Gram-negative bacteria with flagella, known for growing at elevated temperatures (42-43 °C). Campylobacter lari, a species resistant to nalidixic acid, is thermophilic and microaerophilic. It was first isolated from human feces and is one of the primary Campylobacter species present in birds. Campylobacter upsaliensis is a gram-negative bacterium belonging to the Campylobacter genus. It is prevalent globally and is a common cause of campylobacteriosis in humans, as well as gastroenteritis in dogs and cats.
