Mouse Anti-Beak and Feather Disease Virus Monoclonal Antibody
Product Overview
BioVenic mouse monoclonal antibody is specific for the beak and feather disease virus (BFDV). It was produced in hybridoma and subsequently assessed for purity using SDS-PAGE. It can be applied to sandwich ELISA and lateral flow immunoassay to detect BFDV early and prevent its introduction and spread. The clone O18Y45 can be used as capture antibody in the ELISA assay, and the clone O18Y46 can be used as detection antibody in the ELISA assay.

Target Information
Beak and feather disease virus, often abbreviated as BFDV, is a viral pathogen that primarily affects parrots and other psittacine birds. Affected birds may exhibit progressive feather loss, abnormal growth of beak and claws, and compromised immune function. Feather abnormalities can range from deformed feathers to severe plumage loss, rendering the bird vulnerable to environmental stressors.
