BioVenic mouse monoclonal antibody is specific for the Marek's disease virus. It was produced in hybridoma and subsequently assessed for purity using SDS-PAGE. It can be applied to ELISA and lateral flow immunoassay to diagnose Marek's disease virus infection in chicken. The clone N08Y17 can be used as capture antibody in the ELISA assay, and the clone N08Y18 can be used as detection antibody in the ELISA assay.

Target Information
Marek's disease virus belongs to the family Herpesviridae and is an enveloped virus with a double-stranded DNA genome. MDV primarily affects chickens and causes Marek's disease, a lymphoproliferative disorder characterized by tumors primarily in the nerves, skin, and internal organs. Clinical signs include paralysis, weight loss, asymmetrical pupil size, and changes in feathering.

This product is shipped with dry ice. Store at -20°C to -80°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
