Rabbit Anti-Nipah Virus Fusion Protein Site II Polyclonal Antibody
Product Overview
BioVenic rabbit polyclonal antibody is specific for nipah virus fusion protein site II. It is affinity purified by protein A. It can be applied to IP of nipah virus fusion protein site II.
Specifications
Target Information
The nipah virus fusion protein F2 possesses a second cleavage site, known as site II, which is distinct from the initial activation site (site I). Site II is involved in a subsequent cleavage event that can further modulate the activity of the F protein, although the exact role of this site in the nipah virus life cycle is not as well characterized as site I. Nonetheless, the presence of multiple cleavage sites within the F protein highlights the complexity of the viral fusion machinery and the potential for regulation at different stages of the infection process.
