Target Information

Bovine ribonuclease A (RNase A) is an endoribonuclease derived from bovine pancreas, renowned for its role in molecular biology applications. Primarily, RNase A is utilized for the removal of RNA from plasmid DNA preparations and during extraction processes. It is also employed to eliminate unspecifically bound RNA, in RNase protection assays, and in the analysis of RNA sequences, including the hydrolysis of RNA contained within protein samples. This enzyme specifically targets the 3' phosphate of a pyrimidine nucleotide and exhibits the highest activity with single-stranded RNA.
