Target Information
Canine microphthalmia-associated transcription factor (MITF) is a key regulator of melanocyte development and differentiation, playing a central role in the biology of melanocytes and melanoma. MITF is part of the bHLH-Zip transcription factor family and is known as the 'master transcriptional regulator' of the melanocyte lineage. It controls the expression of genes crucial for pigmentation, survival, and cell cycle regulation in melanocytes.
