Target Information
Canine MOB1B is a crucial component of the Hippo signaling pathway, which is involved in cell proliferation, cell-lineage specification, and mitotic exit in various organisms, including dogs. This protein plays a significant role in activating NDR/LATS1 kinases and is a core part of the Hippo pathway along with MST1/2, LATS1/2, and SAV1. The phosphorylation of MOB1B by MST1/2 kinase is essential for its interaction with NDR/LATS kinases, which in turn phosphorylates YAP and TAZ, inhibiting their activity.
