Target Information
Canine Serine/Threonine-Protein Phosphatase 2A Catalytic Subunit Alpha Isoform (PPP2CA) is a key component of protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A), a major serine/threonine phosphatase involved in regulating a wide variety of cellular processes, including signal transduction, cell cycle progression, and gene expression. PPP2CA is part of a heteromeric core enzyme composed of a catalytic subunit and a regulatory subunit, which can associate with various regulatory subunits to modulate its activity and substrate specificity. This enzyme is highly conserved across species and plays a critical role in dephosphorylating microtubule-associated proteins (MAPs) and other signaling molecules.
